The protagonist of the newest series in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Ms. Marvel, is a Pakistani-American teenager. This gives the show significant South Asian links. Naturally, the program’s creators have included a lot of music from South Asia into it. On Wednesday, Disney+ started streaming the third episode of the program. This episode included various Bollywood songs, including one of my favorites, Tere Bina, from the movie Guru. Chinmayi Sripada, the singer who sang the song, commemorated the event by posting about it on social media.
Chinmayi posted a snapshot of the episode’s credits on her Instagram account. In the image, a portion of the songs played in the program was highlighted, and Tere Bina was visible on the screen. The singer posted the image on social media with the caption, “Tere Bina in Ms. Marvel Ep3” (heart emojis). It was wonderful to see that my name was included on the tracklist for a Marvel concert. Khanvict’s original version of Tere Bina was remixed for inclusion in the film Ms. Marvel. There was also a mention of Gulzar and AR Rahman in the credits. Tere Bina was first filmed with Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai in the lead roles in the movie Guru.
The singer received well wishes from several devoted followers. The remark “Here’s to larger and better heights” was made by one user on the post. One of the responses was provided by Khatija Rahman, the daughter of AR Rahman, the person responsible for the song’s initial composition. She wrote that “this is a significant deal.”
Chinmayi Sripada announced that she had given birth to twins earlier on Wednesday. She responded to some people on social media who were doubting her and asking whether she had used a surrogate. Her first post consisted of two images she uploaded to her social media sites, and both showed her holding one of her children’s hands. She called her children Driptah and Sharvas when she presented them. Chinmayi’s husband Rahul, an actor and director, shared a photo on his Instagram account that was quite similar to hers.
