Pianist and music producer Clinton Charles who recently appeared in The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon with acclaimed singer Diljit Dosanjh shared his experience on achieving this milestone. The duo became one of the first Indian artists to showcase their talent on the stage of  America’s most popular late-night shows. In a recent interview, he looked back at this landmark moment of his career. Let’s delve into the complete details of this story.

Charles said he loved how the entire audience was dancing to their song

Addressing the incredible moment on the show, the music producer shared, “The most special moment for me was when the entire audience was on their feet dancing to our music.”

He continues, “Jimmy Fallon came to each one of us after the show, shook our hands, congratulating us on putting up one of the best performances they had witnessed in a long time. Another fun moment backstage was when Diljit had Jimmy Fallon attempt to speak Punjabi. It was hilarious and everyone was in splits. Jimmy was a real sport and absolutely nailed the Punjabi lines.”

The show undoubtedly made Diljit Dosanjh a global phenomenon. Clinton later on praised the actor-singer for his electrific performance on this global platform.

He remarked on the “Born To Shine’ singer, “He is truly a trendsetter. He recently sold out a stadium in Vancouver and now, after this performance, he has set the benchmark really high for all Indian artistes. It was a fantastic experience overall, one of the best stages I’ve ever been on. The audience truly pumped us, and we were really excited to be among the first Indians to perform on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. I think we pulled it off fantastically as a team and take back some memories that will hold our heads high in pride for the years to come.”

Dosanjh performed his popular singles “Born To Shine’ and “G.O.A.T” in the show which was shown live on TV by the global audience. Charles added, “A lot of people watched us on live TV, and I’ve received praises and well wishes from friends, family, and colleagues from all over the globe. It’s definitely something that I will cherish for the rest of my life.”

As for his work in front, Charles noted, “Last year was particularly special because I had the opportunity to perform at the iconic Coachella music festival with Diljit Dosanjh. This year, I’m thrilled to be part of his Dil-Luminati world tour. We’ve just completed the USA and Canada, and now we move on to Europe, the UK, UAE, and India next. After touring with Diljit, I’ll also be hitting the road with Neha Kakkar, Jonita Gandhi, Adnan Sami, and a few other amazing singers later this year.”
