Coal Miners, around 21 in number got trapped in an underground flood in China’s northwest, a state news agency reported. On Sunday, rescuers were trying to reach the 21 coal miners who were trapped in Xinjiang coal mine.
As per reports, 8 people were rescued but 21 are still caught inside the mine.
Another report stated that a part of mine got flooded when 29 miners were working. The flood in Hutubi County in the Xinjiang region took place at about 6:10 pm on Saturday, leading to a power outrage.
In a report declared by the State media outlet Global Times, few miners have been located. According to the report, 12 of the trapped miners are located and are expected to be rescued soon,
China’s coal mines are renowned as the world’s deadliest mines. These mines regularly suffer explosions and gas leaks despite continuous safety crackdowns.
