Coldplay Announced 2nd Concert in India After First one sold out in Minutes

The Coldplay craze is going on fire! 

The iconic British band best known for hit songs like ‘Fix You’, ‘Viva La Vida’, ‘Yellow’, ‘The Scientist’, and ‘A Sky Full of Stars’ is all set to perform in India after nine years at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad announcing a second concert at the same place. The tickets for the first event which went live on Saturday, November 16 got sold out within a minute after which the band decided to take on another concert for their fans.

The second concert would take place on January 26, a day after the initial show which was set to take place on January 25.

Details about the Coldplay concert 

At the notable venue of Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad the 1st and second concerts will kick off. 

Ahead of the show in the venue, the band will begin their India tour in Mumbai on January 18, 19, and 21 of 2025. The concert s are the part of their Music Of The Spheres World Tour.

The band previously shared the update on their first concert on Twitter, writing, “2025 AHMEDABAD DATE ANNOUNCED for Coldplay: The band will play their biggest ever show, at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on 25 January 2025. Tickets on sale Saturday, 16 November at 12pm IST.”

The iconic band consists of vocalist Chris Martin, guitarist Jonny Buckland, bassist Guy Berryman, and drummer Will Champion last had a concert in the country nine years ago in 2016 as part of the Global Citizen Festival, also kick-stated in Mumbai.

Ticket scams ahead of the concert 

Amid the growing fever of the band, several fans shared their experience of getting scammed while purchasing the ticket.  Following the hazard online, the official handles of BookMyShow and BookMyShowLive shared a statement to alert the fans of social media fraud. 

The statement noted, “Protect Yourself from Ticket Scams! Don’t fall prey to unauthorized platforms selling fake tickets for Coldplay’s Music Of The Spheres World Tour 2025 in India! It has come to our attention that unauthorized platforms are listing tickets for Coldplay’s Music Of The Spheres World Tour 2025 in India, both before and after the official sale. These tickets are invalid.” 

It continues, “Ticket scalping is illegal in India and punishable by law. Please don’t fall prey to this because you will be buying fake tickets. Avoid scams! BookMyShow is the only official platform for ticket sales.”
