Indian acting legend Shabana Azmi and South Superstar Jyotika are all set to serve the audience with a heartwarming series Dabba Cartel. On February 29, Netflix unveiled the first look of this much-anticipated series. According to a logline, the series revolves around five ordinary women who are involved in drug dealing under the shadow of a ‘dabba’ delivery business. With the extension of their secret cartel, they showed to navigate treacherous alliances, the law, and their own inner conflicts having the risk of losing everything they hold dear. Dabba Cartel’s release date hasn’t been announced yet 

The official synopsis for the series reads:“Five housewives who run a high stakes secret cartel in which style, ambition, love, friendship and betrayal set in the rich 1960s Mumbai.”

Needless to say, following an interesting storyline with the stellar star cast the series thrives to make the viewers stick to their chair, apart from Shabana Azmi and Jyotika actors like Shalini Pandey, Sai Tamhankar, Nimisha Sajayan, Anjali Anand, Gajraj Rao, Jisshu Sengupta and others. Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidwani’s Excel Entertainment will serve as the producer of the series while Hitesh Bhatia will helmed the much-awaited series.

The team of Dabba Cartel also released a statement. The team said in the statement: “As our first collaboration with Netflix, we’re excited to unveil Dabba Cartel, a riveting tale that propels five ordinary women from their routine existence in a quiet colony of Thane, into the murky, unpredictable life of the underworld. As the creators, our excitement is two-fold bringing this series to a global platform like Netflix. We are certain that Dabba Cartel will captivate, surprise, and keep you hooked throughout. So join us on this journey of suspense, secrets, and unexpected alliances.”

Meanwhile, Akhtar expressed his excitement of working as a producer on this series during the Mumbai event. He said, “We enjoy storytelling, and our collaboration with Netflix has been wonderful. There are numerous upcoming shows to anticipate. This particular series holds a special significance as Shibani is its creator, which makes it dear to my heart.”

The release date of this series is yet to be announced. However, as per the sources, it will begin streaming from this year onwards from Netflix
