Diljit Dosanjh is heading towards another milestone in his groundbreaking musical journey. The singer-actor is all set to appear as a guest on the popular Hollywood late-night show The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Dosanjh is currently the most phenomenal figure in promoting Punjabi music on global platforms leading to the massive success of his Dil-Luminati tour. On 12th June, Dosanjh shared four carousel pictures on his Instagram announcing his upcoming appearance at the highly popular show hosted by Jimmy Fallon. In a new Instagram post on June 12, Diljit shared the good news with his fans with a bunch of pictures and wrote in the caption, “PANJABI AAGYE OYEE. This Week’s Guest.” One of the pictures features the guest list for the week on the popular show including the acclaimed actors Eddie Murphy, Kevin Costner, and The Bear star Matty Matheson, where Diljit’s name was also there.
This isn’t the first time Diljit is creating history. Earlier this year he created a new record at Vancouver’s BC Place stadium becoming the first Punjabi artist to perform at the venue as part of the Dil-Luminati tour.
Moreover, the singer also shared pictures on Instagram from the packed concert. He captioned the post, “HISTORY HAS BEEN WRITTEN (writing emoji) BC PLACE STADIUM (building emoji) SOLD OUT (face with goggles emoji) DIL-LUMINATI TOUR (monster emoji).”
Last year, Diljit also gave a power-packed performance at Coachella. He also created history here as well by becoming the first Punjabi artist to perform at the prestigious fest. He announced his arrival on stage with “Punjabi aa gaye Coachella oye” which went viral on social media in no time.
Simultaneously, Dosanjh impressed the audience with his acting as well. He was last seen in the titular role in Imtiaz Ali’s musical biopic Amar Singh Chamkila, along with Parineeti Chopra. His powerful performance won the hearts of the audience. Moreover, he was also seen in a supporting role in the new film Crew, starring Kareena Kapoor, Tabu, and Kriti Sanon.
As for his work in front, Dosanjh will be seen in Jatt and Juliet 3 along with Neeru Bajwa. The trailer for the third installment of this popular franchise will be released on June 11.
Jatt and Juliet 3 will hit the big screen on June 27.
