Diljit Dosanjh is Creating Revolution For Punjabi Music Globally: All Tickets of His Latest Toronto concert has Sold-out

“Punjabi aa gaye oye!” This phrase is not strange to Punjabi music lovers. Singer-Actor who quoted this phrase is taking serious initiative in making the Punjbi music shine globally. After last mother he did a magnificent performance at American popular show The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, of his famous songs “GOAT,” “Born to Shine” and “Main Hoon Punjab” he has achieved another milestone. The Amar Singh Chamkila star’s sold-out show at Toronto’s Rogers Centre, for his on-going Dil-Luminati Tour, is making the hearts of Indians flutter. Moreover, the show even marked a surprise visit from Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. Moments before his concert Dosanjh has opened up about his experience in a recent interview with Omni Television. Let’s delve into the entire details of this story.

Diljit Dosanjh said Toronto is audience is very special for him 

Dosanjh said in the interview before apologizing for his broken English, “Toronto is special. When I flew out to Indian for the first time, I came to Toronto. The audience here is very special.”

Diljit said, “I have been waiting for this moment since long. There is Latin music, Afro music and now it is time for Punjabi music. Every artist is working hard but in my opinion, it is time for Punjabi music to rise. I want Punjabis to be there on every top global stage. I am not that great and artiste. God has been kind to me but I will strive to bring Punjabi and Punjabi music on every important stage internationally. Chahe meri English tooti footi hai but main meri mehr puri karunga (My English may be poor but I am determined to fulfill this wish).”

As for the sold-out Diljit added, “Sold out concert is in God’s hand and not in my hand. I am just doing my work and it is all in God’s hands. With God’s grace everything is going on well.” Moreover,he signed off in his typical style by teaching the reporter his slogan, “Punjabi aa gaye oye!”

The Canadian PM even addressed the encounter with the singer-actor. “Stopped by the Rogers Centre to wish Diljit Dosanjh good luck before his show. Canada is a great country — one where a guy from Punjab can make history and sell out stadiums. Diversity isn’t just our strength. It’s a super power,” he said.
