Diljit Dosanjh gave an emotional tribute to the late musician Sidhu Moose Wala, the late kabaddi player Sandeep Singh Sandhu, and the late actor Deep Sidhu. He pleaded for harmony among the members of the Punjabi community.
Recently, Diljit Dosanjh paid a heartfelt tribute to the late singer-rapper Sidhu Moose Wala and also issued a warning to those who are “trying to create a rift” in the Punjabi community. In his message, Diljit Dosanjh said, “It’s time for us to come together.” At his most recent show in Vancouver, the actor and singer paid tribute to Sidhu, the late kabaddi star Sandeep Singh Sandhu and the Punjabi actor Deep Sidhu. The kindness of his deed moved fans of Diljit, and many rushed to social media to share how it made them feel.
Diljit also uploaded a video of his tribute performance on Twitter, where he captioned it with the phrase “One Love.” The words “this program is dedicated to our brothers” were shown on a digital banner that was visible in the event’s backdrop. During his performance, Diljit sang about how those desperate for attention would attempt to bring others down to get it for themselves.
He also made a speech in which he advocated togetherness among the Punjabi community. Diljit remarked to his father, “Bapu, don’t take off your turban; we respect it a lot,” about when Sidhu’s father removed his turban at the funeral for his son. The singer continued, “All the Punjabi community should come together and be one; we should not point fingers at one other. Many people will attempt to drive a wedge between us.” The crowd cheered wildly as soon as he heard Sidhu’s name, which caused an uproar.
Diljit remarked, “On the heart, Moose Wala’s name may. This is a message for those attempting to keep us at odds with one another. To remove this name from one’s memory will need an effort that is difficult to accomplish.” At the end of the clip, he performed his song “Born To Shine,” which is included on his album GOAT.
