Ellie Goulding has responded to rumors which allege a year ago about a love triangle between her with Ed Sheeran and Niall Hoan. Elle responded to the rumor using TikTok on Dec 31. Here are the full details.

Ellie Goulding debunks the longstanding rumor about her love life by using TikTok.
The “Burn” singer shared a video of herself dancing to the Harry Styles song ‘As it was’ on Dec 31, where one user commented, “can’t believe u cheated on ed with Niall but slay fr,” claiming Ed Sheeran and Niall Hoan who had sparkled in a relationship with the singer in 2013.
The British pop star responded to this comment by saying, “False!!!! But also slay.”
The Ex-One Direction member and Goulding had never responded to the rumor sparked in August 2012 when the U.K tabloid ‘The Mirror’ reported that the two were spotted picturing PDA at the V Festival in England.
Later a week, the singer and Ed Sheeran were spotted holding hands on the MTV VMAs while sitting in the audience.
Elle tweeted about it saying, “I love that holding hands with my friends means we’re an item. In that case, I am in many relationships. Lover, not a hater. #whatthef–k.”
However, the ‘ Perfect’ singer had another thing to say, he told a Seattle radio station the following month, “I mean, normal people don’t hold hands if they’re just friends. It was going on. And now it’s not.”
In 2014, Sheeran released the song ‘Don’t’, written about how he got cheated on by a fellow singer, which the fans speculate is about Goulding, Horan, and himself.
However, Ed never officially confirmed it.
Goulding, who is now happily married to Caspar Jopling in August 2019- had told the ELLE U.K. in 2015, “I did go on a few dates with Niall but I was never in a relationship with Ed, I have absolutely no idea where that came from and why it was turned into such a big thing.”
