Lily Collins has a surprising pick for Emily Cooper’s true love. Collins who played the titular role of Emily in Paris, revealed her character’s one true character is none other than Mindy played by Ashley Park. In a recent interview with E!News, the actress unveiled a lot of facts about her popular Netflix series.
The season four’s part 2 was recently released on 12th September creating an immense storm among the audience with the entry of Emily’s new love interest Marcello. Therefore, it isn’t surprising that with the arrival of multiple love interests the question of Emily’s ideal match did arrive in the mind of viewers. Let’s check out what Lily has said in the interview.
Lily Collins said Mindy is Emily’s true love
In an exclusive chat with E!News, Lily said her character’s true love is the aspiring singer and her quick-witted best friend Mindy Chen as she says, “Mindy! Always, The hot roommate.” Clarifying her statement the actress noted that the character played by Ashley Park is “the one with the voice, the one with the soul, the one with the heart,” after adding their friendship is “everything.”
In fact, Lily is not bothered by Emily’s soulmate as the fourth season ended with the possibility of a second installment.
“We need more Italy,” the 35-year-old said. “There’s just too many bombs that were dropped at the end of the season.”
Moreover, she revealed it’ll be really interesting if the storyline revolves around more countries in the upcoming seasons.
“I think she needs to take a little side trip to Tokyo at some point,” the Love, Rosie actress admitted. “That travel experience would be one for the books. There’s a lot of locations that I would love Emily to go to.”
As for her choice, Lily revealed Brazil would be another fun place for Emily to visit before adding, “Honestly, like, Emily around the world!”
Although we are not certain if Lily will find her true soulmate on-screen or not, she did form a beautiful sisterhood with a fellow actor.
Back in August in an interview with Cosmopolitan Ashley got candid about her off-screen bond with Lily noting, that she’s “so f–king lucky” to have her co-star by her side.
“We both came into each other’s lives at a time when we needed that exact kind of friendship,” Park explained. “We came to each other at the exact right moment.”
