HBO’s House of Dragon Episode 7 takes many new turns in the storyline of Targaryen history. The episode was released on October 2nd, follows the most anticipated reunion between Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen and Prince Daemon Targaryen. Moreover, it takes many new turns in the plot which makes fans craving for the next episode. The prequel of the famous HBO series Game Of Thrones premiered on August 21, 2022. The first episode of the series was watched by more than 4.8 million people which increases with every episode.
Episode 7 shows an anticipated reunion
The ending of episode 6 follows the death of Laena Velaryon, the second wife of Daemon Targaryen. In the beginning episode 7 we can see Targaryen and Velaryon family mourning the death of Laena. While waking together Rhaenyra told her uncle Daemon how the birth of her children are questioned.Moreover, circumstances lead Prince Daemon and Princess Rhaenyra to make it to the beach.
The Princess in the end offers his uncle to be his King consort in that way the birth of her children wouldn’t be questioned. In Valerian she said,” with you as my husband and Prince consort my claim would not be easily challenged”.
She wants the companion of her uncle as she said,” we have always been meant to burn together”.
However, Daemon said they can’t get married until the death of Rhaenyra’s first husband Laenor . Rhaenyra responds ,” I know”.
Daemon paid off Laenor’s lover to murder him. ( However, Laenor isn’t dead yet as he escape with his lover)
The ending episode shows the secret marriage of Rhaenyra and Daemon in front of Rhaenyra’s children.
The fair exchange of an eye for a dragon in the episode
Prince Aemond Targaryen, the second son of Queen Alicent Hightower and King Viserys is seen to claim the dragon of late Laena Velaryon Vhagar. It leads to the fight between Aemond with his cousins which leads him to lose an eye. Later on Alicent asked for Rhaenyra’s boy’s one eye for the sake of justice. But later on Aemond said it was a fair exchange.This crazy dramatic scene shows Rhaenyra understands her claim to the throne is becoming Vulnerable.
In the end it led to Rhaenyra marrying her uncle Prince Daemon. As she said,”I cannot face the greens alone,Let us bind our blood, just as Aegon the Conqueror did with his sisters.”
