Francia Raisa addressed the rumored feud with friend Selena Gomez. In her recent appearance on the Josh Peck’sGood Guys podcast, she opened up about the rumors of a feud between the Only Murders In The Building alum.
Francia Raisa said she disappear because people are mean
The 35-year-old admitted, “Whenever I thought about my name being in the press, I never thought about it like this. I always thought about it from an actor’s perspective.”
Moreover, she added, “She and I went public with our situation years ago and honestly we had to. The press got a hold of the story and we wanted to tell it. As for what’s going on lately, does anyone prep you for this kind of stuff? Never. We never get prepped for this kind of stuff. It always catches me by surprise. I don’t know if it’s good or not.”
The How I Met Your Father star, revealed the reason for ignoring her comment section. She said, “I can’t read the comments because I don’t do well with it. I really don’t. Sometimes I disappear because people are mean. People are so mean. They get you right there. Someone said, ‘Oh, you’re just looking for attention because your career’s a flop.’ I’m like, ‘Is it a flop?'”
Later on, Raisa also addressed the rumors that she was forced to donate her kidneys. She added, “No one forced me to do anything. It came out of the genuine kindness of my heart.”
The actress then promotes her production company while saying, “You guys, there’s no beef, there’s salsa.”
Recently the “Wolf” singer wished her her 35th birthday via Instagram. She wrote, “Happiest of birthdays to this special human being. No matter where life takes us, I love you. ❤️”
In 2017, Raisa donated a kidney to Gomez as she needed a transplant for lupus. The tension between the friends started after in a Rolling Stone interview Gomez called Taylor Swift “My only friend in the industry”. To which she wrote in a now-deleted comment “Interesting.” Later on, after facing backlash Gomez commented on a TikTok, “Sorry I didn’t mention every person I know.” Raisa even unfollowed the singer. However, she started following her again.
Needless to say, the tension seems to be cleared between the friends.
