Something big is coming for Game of Thrones fans!
Nearly five years after the end of the blockbuster HBO series’ actress Maisie Williams who got immense recognition for playing Arya Stark in the show might be teaming up with writer and creator George R.R. Martin for an upcoming project. In a post on his website, “Not A Blog,” the author shared the memory of his London trip this year where met Williams for an important endeavor.
Williams stars in this show with Sophie Turner, Emilia Clarke, Peter Dinklage, and Kit Harington which run from 2011 to 2019. Here are the complete details about the author’s note.
George R.R. Martin talked about his time with Maisie Williams
The 76-year-old detailed in the post, “We also got together with Maisie Williams for pizza and pasta and talked about… well, no, better not get into that, Do not want to jinx it. But it could be so much fun.”
This isn’t the first time he raised the hopes of the fans with the expectations of Game of Thrones spin-offs.
Martin wrote on his website in 2022, sharing, “All the changes at HBO Max have impacted us, certainly, Some of those are moving faster than others, as is always the case with development.”
Although the wait is getting too long, the Emmy-winning writer assured fans that something big is coming up soon.
“None have been greenlit yet, though we are hoping… maybe soon,” he noted. “A couple have been shelved, but I would not agree that they are dead. You can take something off the shelf as easily as you can put it on the shelf.”
As for Maisie, she’s trying so hard to get out of the shell of her GOT character.
In February, the actress told The Sunday Times, “I was so lost for so long and I knew that I was, and when I couldn’t pin down what I felt my identity was within that, it brought me a lot of discomfort. Now I feel a lot more comfortable in my own skin.”
It’s been five years since the show ended, still, there’s not much development on the sequel of the series.
However, for now, the news has stated that this adaptation of George R.R. Martin’s notable novel A Song of Ice and Fire book series is under radar of Warner Bros who is looking forward to making it as a movie.
