Singer-songwriter Gini is reaching a new milestone in her career. Born and brought up in the beautiful city of Dehradun, the singer in a short period of time has gained an immense online fanbase for her majestic voice. Known for her heartfelt ballads like “Ansuna” and “Chaukhat” and most recently “Sukoon”  which has also earned her recognition of Spotify India’s Radar Artist of the Month strives to reach the top of the Indian Music industry with her incredible talent and hard work. Nevertheless, she has successfully proven to be the shining star of the Genz era. Let’s look at her life and inspiring journey.

The life and journey of musician Gini

At only 18 years of age, Gini had released three successful singles “Ansuna” and “Chaukhat” and most recently “Sukoon.” The most interesting fact is that this young woman comes with no professional training in music and is entirely self-taught.

Signed under the indie-pop label Molfa Music, she took inspiration from a variety of artists from all around the world and with her every single promise to present the listeners unique and heartfelt experience.

Gini’s devotion to music comes from a very young age. Thanks to her passion and hard work her latest single “Sukoo” has also earned her the title of Spotify India’s Radar Artist of the Month.

Moreover, the single even earned a whopping 2.7L views within just two weeks of its release. In a country like India where the hype of playback singers is much more, earning this amount of views is indeed a success for a solo artist. The enchanting song also comes with a beautiful music video helmed by filmmaker Bhavna Kankaria.

Addressing the single’s success she said in a statement,“The song is based on very strong emotions of wanting to feel sukoon. I’d written it during a period of solitude wherein I was reading and writing more than ever. I’d create worlds with every piece of literature I consumed and realized that I was moving through those worlds too fast; I wasn’t stopping to truly bask in the bliss, or sukoon of the books. So, I wrote a song to remind me to stop and appreciate the moments and the feelings I was experiencing.”

This youngster is undoubtedly going to be a big thing in indie music.
