Get ready for a laughter dose! Director Rohit Shetty and his frequent collaborator actor Ajay Devgn will soon start filming for Golmaal 5. As per the reports the casting is in process. The actor-director duo will now take a break from the Singham franchise to begin the comedy series next. In fact, Shetty also confirmed the movie during an interview with Pinkvilla.

For the unknown, Shetty and Devgn’s new cop action movie Singham Again movie is currently getting a massive success despite having mixed reviews crossing a whopping Rs 275 crore globally (per Sacnilk.com).

Produced by Rohit Shetty Picturez, Devgn Films, Reliance Entertainment, Jio Studios, and Cinergy, the film stars Devgn in the leading role and also features Kareena Kapoor Khan, Ranveer Singh, Tiger Shroff, Deepika Padukone, Arjun Kapoor, Akshay Kumar, and Jackie Shroff in significant roles.

Here’s the complete details about this movie.

Rohit Shetty said Golmaal will be the next film on his list

During an interview with Pinkvilla for promotion of the new film the actor-director duo talked about this much-loved comedy franchise.

Rohit told the entertainment portal, ”I think before any cop film for sure Golmaal will be the next.”

When they’re asked if it’s difficult to shift from acting to comedy, Ajay added, “We not switching from one world to the other on sets we are switching from one world to the other between action and cut now you see so on set also you cannot after he’s cut the shot I cannot behave like Singham and keep walking around like Singham so I have to be normal otherwise you’ll go insane.”

Golmaal, which is the most loved comedy franchise of Hindi films, first hit the theatres in 2006 with Golmaal: Fun Unlimited.

The other films of the venture follow Golmaal Returns (2008), Golmaal 3 (2010) and Golmaal Again (2017).

Fun fact for Rohit shifting to Golmaal is like a ‘detox’ for the light subject it follows.

He said, ”I look forward like whenever it’s such a big Singham after Singham. I want to be in that world where it is lighter and happier and I’m not worried.”

.

On the other hand, at the same interview, Devgan announced working on Son of Sardar 2 and Dhamaal 4.
