HBO disclosed Euphoria is set to kick-off next year
The media house’s team revealed to the outlet, “Euphoria is going into production in 2025. Nothing has changed.”
Needless to say, this news is incredible for the fans as the series has faced several pitfalls since the release of the season 2 in 2022.
The problems arise due to the 2023 WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes as well as the death of one of the show’s cast members Angus Cloud who played Fezco in July 2023. Nevertheless, the network has previously confirmed season three will go on the floor in January 2025.
In fact, the show’s leading lady Zenday who earned two back-to-back Emmy Awards for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series performance as troubled teen Rue Bennett shared the further details of the show in an interview with Entertainment Weekly.
“I don’t quite know exactly what the season is going to look like,” she shared, “but I do know that the time jump is happening and I know it’s important because there’s only so much high school drama you can deal with—‘and then she cheats on her boyfriend again!”
She continued, “It will be fascinating to see and understand these characters outside of the context of high school, and how all the stuff that we saw when they were kids and they were in high school affects the kind of adulthood they have and who they become in a much bigger world. I’ll be interested to see what happens too.”
For now, it’s only a matter of time for HBO to announce the release date of this highly awaited project.
