‘Heeramandi’ trailer is finally out now! The Sanjay Leela Bhansali helmed OTT venture’s trailer was finally dropped on April 9, 2024. The trailer depicts the dazzling district of Heeramandi where Mallikajaan (Manisha Koirala) rules over an elite house of courtesans. Her reign remains fearless until her late nemesis’ daughter, Fareedan (Sonakshi Sinha), brings tensions in the house. Meanwhile, her other daughter Bibbojaan (Aditi Rao Hydari), joins India’s freedom struggle meanwhile, her youngest daughter Alamzeb (Sharmin Segal), dreams of love with the son of a nawab (nobleman), Tajdar (Taha Shah Badussha), and tries to break out of Heeramandi. The story has been described as an ‘epic saga of love, power, betrayal, struggle and, ultimately, freedom’.
Days after the trailer dropped Netflix shared the looks of the men in the series Fardeen Khan is making his comeback with the role of Wali Mohammed, while sharing his poster Netflix wrote, “Caught in a whirlwind struggle of love and duty, Wali Mohammed attempts to reconcile his heart’s desire with his royal responsibilities. Fardeen Khan makes his spectacular return to the screen as Wali Mohammed.” The father-son duo Shekhar and Adhyayan Suman will also be seen in the movie as Shekhar plays the shrewd Zulfikar, and his son Adhyayan will be seen as a lovesick Zoravar. Moreover, Taha Shah Badussha was cast as Tajdar.
Apart from them, the ensemble cast includes Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Sanjeeda Shaikh, Aditi Rao Hydari, Richa Chadha, and Sharmin Segal.
‘Heeramandi’ will be streaming on Netflix from May 1. Sanjay Leela Bhansali will make his OTT debut through this film.
