The iconic Hera Pheri trio Suniel Shetty, Paresh Rawal, and Akshay Kumar recently reunited for a Kudo Tournament 2024. At the 16th Akshay Kumar International Kudo Tournament 2024 held in Surat, Gujarat the actors made a special visit. As their reunion might light up the Hera Pheri sequel rumors, they opt to clarify it. While sharing the pictures from the event dispelled rumors of having some connection with the popular installment’s sequel. The last Hera Pheri sequel came in 2006. Despite having rumours of a part three none of the actors has confirmed it.

Suniel Shetty and Akshay Kumar shared the pictures from the event
On November 12, Akshay who played Raju in the popular franchise, shared a video from the tournament by writing, “At the 16th Akshay Kumar International Kudo Tournament 2024, two Guinness World Records were shattered, making it a truly memorable day—no “Hera Pheri” involved! (sic)”
The caption continued, “The event saw young champions giving it their all, learning valuable lessons in teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship. And all this in the presence of our very own Babu bhaiya, @pareshrawalofficial and Shyam, @suniel.shetty who made the event extremely special, thank you (sic).”
The previous day, Shetty who was loved for playing Shyam in the movie also shared a montage of the reunion snaps.
The caption noted, “The Dhoom Dhadaka Orchestra is Back!!! But no Hera Pheri this time. Just all out Kudo Action! Off to the 16th Akshay Kumar Kudo International Tournament! @akshaykumar @pareshrawalofficial (sic).”
The franchise’s last movie Phir Hera Pheri came back in 2006. Helmed by the late Neeraj Vora, it stars Shetty, Kumar and Rawal reprising their roles along with new additions like Bipasha Basu, Rajpal Yadav, and Rimi Sen. As for the first instalment, it came six years before the movie.
The plot of the movie starts with two tenants and a landlord who desperately wants money. Afterward, they get a chance upon a ransom call via a cross-connection and make a plan to get the money all by themselves to live a more lavish life.
Although it’s disappointing news for the fans, hopes are still high for the sequel.
