‘House of the Dragon’ stars Ewan Mitchell who played the role of Prince Aemond Targaryen in the popular HBO series. During an interview on Wednesday’s episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, shared a behind-the-scenes story about time they filmed in the Westeros brothel where he filmed his first nude scene which wasn’t exactly what he expected. Let’s delve into the entire details of this story.
Ewan Mitchell said he was freezing while filming the scene
The conversation in the show about nudity Mitchell and his co-star Fabien Frankel, who plays Ser Criston Cole in the Game of Thrones prequel revealed that their typical on-set wardrobes are unbearably hot. However, in some of their nude scenes in the show’s second season, during episodes two and three, Mitchell has encountered some changes in the temperature.
“I thought I’d work it and I’d be, like, the perfect temperature for those scenes,” the actor added.
Recounting the moment the 27-year-old actor was thrown a curveball. However, during the moment of filming he was taken to a different studio than where he usually films.
“It’s like a fridge freezer,” he shared. “Yeah, it was a shock to the system. A shock to the naked body.”
Moreover, he playfully noted, “I hope you enjoyed it and I hope my mother is OK with it.”
In the recent episode of the House of the Dragon’s recent episodes the Prince was found seeking comfort in the arms of a brothel madam named Sylvi (Michelle Bonnard) to whom he even shared his regret over the tragic killing of his nephew Lucerys Velaryon in last season.
In a later episode, his brother, King Aegon II (Tom Glynn-Carney) discovered Aegon in the arms of the brothel madam and publicly made fun of him over staying with the same prostitute to whom he lost his virginity. In this scene Aemond stands on the bed fully-naked body to all as he exits the room.
Frankel also praised his co-star by telling he “really enjoyed” the scene.
Previously talking with Entertainment Tonight Mitchell at the show’s New York City premiere in June, the actor gushed over his character’s journey in the season.
“You never know what you’re gonna get with Aemond,” he announced. “One minute you might love him, the next moment you might hate him, but that’s a testament to [showrunner] Ryan Condal and his writing team. They really do change continually.”
Season 2 of the House of the Dragon premieres every Sunday at 9pm PT/ET on HBO.
