India again dominated Bangladesh on their home ground in Delhi at the first T20I. After a glorious victory in the test series, the youngest proved that the team’s future is in secure hands. The men in blue stayed on top right throughout the first over making the Bangladeshi batting order collapse with back-to-back storming attacks making them down to 127 before knocking it off with ease.

Along with the experienced players, youngsters like Abhishek Sharma, Riyan Prag, and Rinku Singh as well as debutants Nitish Kumar Reddy and Mayank Yadav shine in the ground creating a bright future for the team.

Let’s check out the complete highlights of the match.

The highlights of India vs Bangladesh first T20I

After winning the toss India’s new T20I skipper Suryakumar Yadav opted to bowl first.

As the Bangladeshis were trying to settle down for a good partnership Arshdeep Singh’s vicious attack made opener Litton Das go back to the dressing room quite early in the game.

In his next over, Arshdeep didn’t miss a chance to Parvez Hossain Emon to edge it back onto the stumps making the first two openers dismissed with only 14 runs on the scoreboard.

However, captain Najmul Hossain Shanto tried his best to make the team recover from the early dismissals with his 27 runs until the incredible catch and bowl of  Washington Sundar.

Later on, Bangladesh’s anchor started dropping as Varun Chakaravarthy who made his comeback after three years claimed three wickets of  Towhid Hridoy, Jaker Ali, and Rishad Hossain.

Additionally, all-rounder Hardik Pandya and debutant Mayank Yadav snatched two more wickets ending Bangladesh’s batting by putting the target of 128.

India’s batting order seems to put a great effort into claiming victory as early as possible. Openers  Abhishek Sharma and Sanju Samson gave the team a solid start. However, Sharma unfortunately got run out after putting in an impressive 16 runs in just  7 deliveries comprising 2 fours and 1 six.

As skipper SKY entered the scene he made up an incredible partnership with  Samson till 65 runs.

After they both head back to the pavilion, Hardik Pandya shows his magic with debutant Nitish Kumar Reddy.

Pandya smashed back-to-back fours and sixes sealing the team’s victory by six wickets with 132 while Reddy enjoyed his 16 runs from the other side.

Nevertheless, team India dominated the game with powerful strategies and incredible performance. Blower Arshdeep Singh was named Player of the Match for getting 3 wickets with an economy of 3.65.

The next two matches of the three-day T20I series are scheduled on 9th and 12th October.
