India once again depicted their champion mentality in Johannesburg.
From Arshdeep Singh’s fiery new ball spell to Tilak Verma’s back-to-back century, India totally dominated the game through both bat and ball. South Africa fell short by 135 runs chasing a humongous total of 284 runs in the final T20I. The men in blue who were leading the series after the last game bundle out the SA batters at The Wanderers in Johannesburg on Friday.
With this magnificent victory India created a lot of records in their T20I format such as creating the highest total in the format overseas to the highest partnership they truly proved the reason they held as the reigning champion of the format.

India vs South Africa 4th T20I highlights
India has a remarkable time in this format from starting as a champion to being undefeated throughout the year.
Indian skipper Surya Kumar Yadav won the toss and opted to bowl.
From the beginning, the men in blue get a positive start with the 73 partnership of openers Abhishek Sharma and Sanju Samson. After a terrific 36 runs with smashing 4 sixes and 2 fours, Lutho Sipamla sent 24-year-old Abhishek back to the pavilion.
However, the host’s misery is yet to start as the previous match’s centurion Tilak Verma show’s another masterclass performance back-to-back.
Samson and Verma became undefeated by the SA bowlers with a partnership of 210 runs. The duo created an incredible milestone for the team by creating the highest total for India overseas with 283 runs.
Additionally, the duo made India become the first-ever cricketer to score two hundred for the team in the T20 format.
Sanju became unvanquished from the beginning scoring 109 runs with smashing 9 sixes and 6 fours, while 22-year-old Tilak scored 120 runs with 10 sixes and 9 fours becoming the Player of The Series and Player of the Match as well.
For their part, the SA failed both in batting and bowling. After a series of missing catches, their talented batters Ryan Rickelton(1), Reeza Hendricks (0), Aiden Markram (8), Andile Simelane (2), and Heinrich Klaasen (0) got totally destructed ahead of the spell of Arshdeep Singh, Ravi Bishnoi, Hardik Pandya, Axar Patel, and Varun Chakaravarthy.
Only Tristan Stubbs (43), David Miller (36), and Marco Jansen (29) tended to achieve double digits. Eventually, the horror ended in a series loss for the host with a 3-1 margin.
India last faced South Africa in the final of the 2024 T20 World Cup which the former won ending their ICC drought of 17 years.
