Influencer Rachel Hollies have gone through the loss of her ex-husband and former Disney distribution executive Dave Hollies. Dave passed away on February 14 at his Texas home from “heart issues.” He was 47 years old at that time. Moreover, his family confirmed the news. The influencer was revealed to be “devastated” by the death of the father of her kids.
Rachel Hollis shared an Instagram in honor of her late ex-husband
The 40-year-old shared an Instagram post honoring her late ex-husband. The couple tied the knot in 2004 and separated in 2020. On top of that, they even share four kids. On February 14, she shared a post that said, ” We are devastated. I have no words and my heart is too broken to find them. Please wrap the kids up in prayers as we try and navigate through the unthinkable.”
Previously, three years ago while announcing her desperation from Dave. In the Girl, Wash Your Face, the author wrote, “We started out as best friends 18 years ago and the truth is, that core friendship and the parts of us that work so well, have become a band-aid for the parts of us that don’t. We have worked endlessly over the last three years to make this work.”
Moreover, she added, “And have come to the conclusion that it is healthier and more respectful for us to choose this as the end of our journey as a married couple.”
However, she revealed they might not be a couple anymore but they will remain friends for the sake of co-parenting their kids. “We’ll forever have a partnership in raising these humans, the good memories of our marriage offsetting the things that didn’t work. But that was, on the other side, also the RIGHT & BEST thing for each of us & for our kids as they get raised by the better versions of us.”- she noted.
