Jessica Biel revealed the reason she and husband Justin Timberlake keep their kids away from the spotlight. The couple and their sons Silas, 9, and Phineas, 4, have been living on their property in Big Sky, Montana, which they purchased in 2015. On the May 21 episode of Kelly Ripa’s podcast Let’s Talk Off Camera, Biel revealed the reason behind making this decision. The 7th Heaven alum and the “Suit & Tie” singer is currently maintaining a low profile life in Los Angeles and New York. Let’s check out the complete details of this story.
Jessica Biel said she and Justin Timberlake are trying to create some normalcy for their kids
The Sinner star said, “You get hammered in the east coast, you kinda get hammered on the West coast. That’s why we don’t really live there anymore.”
She told host Kelly, “It’s just trying to create some normalcy for these kids. We wanna share our family with our loved ones and friends.”
Although their work is public-facing, they believe their kids didn’t choose this life.
Biel noted, “I don’t wanna expose them in a way until they have an ability to make that decision for themself.”
The actress also told Ripa that she knows despite keeping them out of the spotlight the “social media world” will one day be a “very big part of their life and their reality.”
“I just don’t want it to be on my account,” she continues. “So we try to engage in a way that feels authentic but also just not blasting them all over the place. And no disrespect to anybody who feels comfortable doing that. That’s just our family choice. Maybe it’s a mistake, maybe it’s not.”
No matter what their future turned out to be, their present is indeed quite content as in January during his appearance at The Graham Norton Show, Justin gushes over his perfect family.
“I have two wonderful children, who are going to be the death of me,” Timberlake joked on the show. “But yeah two boys and a wonderful wife and I’m just happy,” he said, while playfully quipped, “Is that controversial these days?”
Joined by Dua Lipa, Cate Blanchett, Kate Winslet and Adrian Lester the singer also revealed that the title of his recent album Everything I Thought It Was reflect his gratitude towards his loving family life .“I think it’s just, you get to a point in your life where you realize that all the things that have conspired really to get you to this point are beautiful,” he continued. “… And I don’t think I’ve ever taken the time to reflect and look at my life and say like, ‘wow this is really cool’ and just be thankful for it.”
Everything I Thought It Was was released on March 15 of this year.
