Alia Bhatt’s upcoming film Jigra is all set to hit the theatres soon. Directed by Vasan Bala, Alia Bhatt will also take on her second production gig under her Eternal Sunshine Productions with this upcoming venture. Despite initially scheduled to release in September the film is now going to release on October 11 of this year. Vasan Bala is also known for his neo-noir action films such as ‘Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota’ promises to give a thrilling experience with ‘Jigra’. ‘Jigra’ is postponed to October 11, 2024
Last month the rescheduling of the upcoming movie was announced. The release date was postponed by 2 weeks. The tagline of the movie is noted, “A fierce journey to protect your own…your jigra!”
The new date is around the auspicious event of Dussaraha.
Newcomer Vedang Raina who was last seen in Netflix’s ‘The Archies’ is joining Alia as the lead of the movie. However, there aren’t any details about Vedang or Alia’s character. However, as per the sources Vedang might portray Alia’s brother in a film which is still not revealed yet. Bhatt will be taking on dual responsibility in the film. Apart from showing her marvelous acting, the Raazi alum also served as the producer of the movie.
The movie also made a huge cash with the pan-Indian action drama, Kanguva starring Surya and Bobby Deol. Kanguva is releasing a day ahead of Alia’s project.
Needless to say, it’ll really interesting to see the new clash.
