American singer Joe Jonas remembers the time of auditioning for the Spiderman role. The ‘cake by the ocean’ singer reportedly auditioned for the 2012 movie The Amazing Spider-Man. On November 23, the singer revealed a lot of facts while talking with Variety.
Joe Jonas was so excited about the role
On November 23, in a recent interview with Variety, the 33-year-old talked about his aspiring role. “I remember years ago I was up for Spider-Man and I was so, so excited and it was the year Andrew Garfield got it,”- the singer said.
“Obviously, he was the right one. But I remember that was a big thing at the time, going back for callbacks, and the director used to be a music video director. So I was like, ‘I got an in here.'”- the Jonas brother band alum continued.
The director of the movie The Amazing Spider-Man is Marc Webb who also directed the 2009 movie 500 Days of Summer. He also directed music videos for bands My Chemical Romance, Miley Cyrus, Fergie, Green Day, No Doubt, Evanescence, and Maroon 5.
He previously dug into some acting roles in Disney Channel’s Jonas series and Camp Rock TV movies. Later on, he concentrated on his music career. For now, he is all set for his new war film Devotion which will be released on November 23.
The singer is married to Game Of Thrones actress Sophie Turner with whom he had two daughters. The singer also talked about his wife’s role in his career. He said, “She’s my toughest critic. Yes, I’m going to be a little nervous [but she’s] super helpful and I feel like what a great acting coach to walk me through this. And I do have her to thank.”
