Newcomer Junaid Khan who is getting immense praise and appreciation for his new film Maharaj shared the details of his next project. The elder son of Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan unveiled that he has also started the shooting for an untitled film in Delhi. In an exclusive conversation with ANI, the actor revealed some details about this film. Although he didn’t reveal the name or co-star of this movie he noted that this movie will be under a famous production. As per the sources, Junaid is pairing up with Khushi Kapoor for an upcoming film after the duo doing rounds on the road of Delhi went viral on the internet suggesting that they might be in the filming process. Junaid Khan is rumoured to be joining Khushi Kapoor for an upcoming film
As per some sources and internet images are suggesting that Junaid Khan has joined forces with Khushi Kapoor who is the youngest daughter of Boney Kapoor and the legendary late actor Sridevi. Khushi’s elder sister Janhvi Kapoor is also an actress.
However for now the newcomer is enjoying the success of Maharaj which is streaming on Netflix from last Friday.
Talking about the success of Maharaj, Junaid expressed his gratitude for the film’s incredible appreciation from the audience and critics . “I’m very grateful for the by and large positive response that Maharaj has received. So yeah, it’s quite satisfying; I guess all’s well that ends well.”
The story of this movie revolves around the 1862 Maharaj Libel Case which is one of India’s most significant legal battles. The case highlights the life of social reformer Karsandas Mulji.
Directed by Sidharth P Malhotra and produced by Yash Raj Films (YRF) Entertainment, apart from Junaid the film also includes some other prominent actors like Jaideep Ahlawat and Shalini Pandey, and with a special appearance by Sharvari.
“When Sid and Adi Sir called me for this story, I found it very appealing. I really liked Sid Sir’s part. The Yash Raj banner is significant, so taking on this project was an obvious choice,” he said on the development of the film.
The production house YRF also expressed its gratitude through an official statement for the growing success of the film. The statement reads,“We are grateful to the judiciary for allowing the release of Maharaj, a film that celebrates one of the most important social reformers of our country, Karsandas Mulji. Yash Raj Films has a 50-year-old legacy of championing India, its stories, its people, culture and heritage. We have never produced a film that tarnished the reputation of our country or our countrymen.”
