Kaley Cuoco shared a moment of getting mom-shamed on a flight. On Tuesday’s episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live, the Flight Attendant star who is the mother of a nine-months-old daughter, Matilda recalled an unpleasant moment while traveling with her partner, Tom Pelphrey, and their young daughter. Kaley Cuoco said she feels like everyone judges what you do with your kid
The 38-year-old told host Kimmel about the shame she got, “I feel like everyone judges what you do with your kid.”
The Big Bang Theory star said of the trip. “ We were having one of those flights where you hear what other people have and you’re like, ‘Ooo, that sucks for them,’ and it actually happened to us… It was hard,” She finally falls asleep, and she’s on Tom, and the sound machine is on… The steward comes over and he was like, ‘Hey, one of the passengers would love if you would turn the sound machine off.’”
“I mean, the ice went into his veins,” Cuoco quipped. “I couldn’t believe, by the way, she asked us to turn it off.”
Moreover, the actress also recalled when a passenger passed mean comments on her daughter. She added, “The lady turns around, and she goes, ‘Oh, so your daughter does know how to smile!’ It was in that moment where I understood why women end up on Dateline. I could have strangled [her]… This moment, I could have thrown that woman off the plane.”
However, Kaley is fully unapologetic when it comes to her parenting style as she noted, “I didn’t read a single book. I don’t think I’ve sanitized. I don’t even know if I know how to sanitize something.”
Cuoco also revealed, “Matilda just watched the first season of Succession last week. I was like, ‘OK, so are we not supposed to do that? I don’t understand.'”
“She loves her iPad too. She’s watching everything, let me tell ya. I have no shame, as long as she’s not crying,” the actress said.
Kaley called her partner the “opposite,” as she said of Pelphrey, “Tom is the safe parent.”
Cuoco welcomed Matilda in March 2023, at the actress announced her via an Instagram post along with the photo of the newborn writing, “💓 3-30-23 💓 Introducing, Matilda Carmine Richie Pelphrey, the new light of our lives! We are overjoyed and grateful for this little miracle 💓,” Cuoco captioned her post announcing Matilda’s arrival in April. “Thank you to the doctors , nurses , family and friends who have helped us immensely over the last few days. We are blessed beyond belief 💗 @tommypelphrey didn’t think I could fall even more in love with you , but I did 💗.”
