Kalki 2898 AD is finally storming into OTT. The Prabhas and Deepika Padukone-starrer which is all set to stream in several Indian languages like Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada on Prime Video is also having the Hindi language debut on Netflix.
On August 17, the streaming platform unveiled the date of the Hindi language debut. Directed by Nag Ashwin, the film stars Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, Prabhas, Kamal Haasan, Disha Patani, Saswata Chatterjee, and Shobhana. Based on Hindu mythology the movie has gained immense popularity among the audience and even hit the ₹1000 crore milestone at the worldwide box office. Kalki 2898 AD is going to stream on two OTT platforms
On Saturday, Prime Video India shared on Instagram the OTT release of the movie. The caption noted, “The dawn of a new ERA awaits you. And this is your gateway into the GRAND world of Kalki… Kalki 2898 AD on Prime… Aug 22.”
At the same time, Netflix India shared a promo of the mythological sci-fi and shared, “Iss yug ka EPIC blockbuster aa raha hai Netflix par, Hindi mein (Blockbuster Kalki 2898 AD is arriving in Hindi on Netflix). Watch Kalki 2898 AD Hindi arriving on 22nd August on Netflix.”

Initially named Project K, The film stormed into the theatres on June 27, 2024, in multiple languages and also got a powerful opening. As per a report by Sacnilk.com grossing ₹1041.6 crore worldwide. Apart from that, the film recently crossed the 100-crore mark at the domestic box office.
The film has been released in multiple languages worldwide including Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, Hindi, and English.
What is the movie about?
Set in the hidden city of Shambhala, the story is focused on the moment before the arrival of Hindu god Vishnu’s modern avatar Kalki. The 10th avatar of the Hindu deity is said to have descended on Earth free from evil forces.
The story also forms a link with Mahabharat, as 81-year-old Amitabh Bachchan played immortal warrior Ashwathhama. The warrior was the son of Dronacharya, the teacher of the Pandavas and Kauravas. The warrior is living an immortal life because of the curse of Lord Krishna.
