Born and brought up in Delhi the singer first began her journey as a solo artist in 2014 with the release of her first EP, Much Mellow. Showcasing the blend of pop, RnB/Soul & folk music with her soulful voice and emotive songwriting she strives to give an unforgettable experience to her fans with her projects. Deeply tackling the personal emotions of love, heartbreak, self-discovery, and introspection, each and every single are highly related to music lovers.
She also comes from a background of both professional Hindustani and Western classical which perfectly reflects throughout her music.
After years of hard work as a live performer and collaborator across the country, Kamakshi first got her breakthrough in 2020 with the release of her first Hindi single ‘Qareeb.’ The single got immense appreciation from the critics as well as overpowering love from listeners making it reach over 1.8 million views on YouTube and over a million audio streams across music platforms.
Later in 2021, she proved her charisma beyond boundaries with her Indie hit song ‘Duur’ with composer and producer OAFF.
The song became so popular that it got synced with the official soundtrack and trailer of Madhuri Dixit’s Netflix show ‘The Fame Game’ and Jugaadistan on Lionsgate.
On the other hand, she also gives her voice in OTT series like Zee5’s Kaun Banega Shikharwati’s single ‘Chhan Chhan’, ‘Tere Jaisa’ in the Netflix series, Kota Factory and also the beautiful track ‘Yaadein’ for the Amazon Prime series, Modern Love: Mumbai.
