The princess has made her most awaited comeback after cancer diagnosis. While continuing her cancer treatment the Princess of Wales made her first public appearance in six months at the June 15 Trooping the Colour ceremony. Her Royal Highness is accompanied by her husband Prince William and their children Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6. The event was held to celebrate King Charles III’s birthday. Apart from the Waleses the King’s siblings Princess Anne and Prince Edward also joined the event by riding on horseback with Prince William during the parade. Let’s check out some more details about the event.
Kate optimistically attended the event with a big smile
The 42-year-old princess looked simply stunning in a black-and-white Jenny Packham dress paired with a Philip Treacy hat.
After being named the Colonel of the Irish Guards in 2023, which she has previously described as a “great honour”, the Princess graced the annual Trooping of the Colour as all the House Guards troop their colors in honor of the sovereign’s birthday.
Last week, Kate, who shared her cancer diagnosis this March confirmed her attendance at the event in a long Instagram post.
“I’m looking forward to attending The King’s Birthday Parade this weekend with my family and hope to join a few public engagements over the summer,” the mother of three wrote in the official Instagram account of the Prince and Princess of Wales. “But equally knowing I am not out of the woods yet.”
“I am making good progress, but as anyone going through chemotherapy will know, there are good days and bad days,” she noted in her post. “On those bad days you feel weak, tired and you have to give in to your body resting. But on the good days, when you feel stronger, you want to make the most of feeling well.”
Moreover, she also ensured to make her royal duties a priority on the days as she is now in good condition.
“It is a joy to engage with school life, spend personal time on the things that give me energy and positivity, as well as starting to do a little work from home,” The Princess wrote while acknowledging her well-wishers adding, “It really has made the world of difference to William and me and has helped us both through some of the harder times.”
