Katy Perry makes us believe that ex and present can be friends too. In her recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, the ” Harleys In Hawaii” singer refers to fiancé Orlando Bloom’s Ex-Wife Miranda Kerr as The Heart of their Family. The singer prested the Australian beauty with the Excellence in Arts Award organized over the weekend.
Katy Perry says she doesn’t fit the ex-wife, new wife narrative
The 38-year-old attended the G’Day USA Arts Gala, hosted by the American Australian Association in partnership with the Australian Government over the weekend. The singer presented the Excellence in Arts Award to the former Victoria’s Secret model. Afterward, the singer in a backstage interview revealed the importance of his fiancé’s ex-wife. She said, “Many of you may be confused as to why I’m presenting Miranda with this award. It doesn’t fit the ex-wife, new wife narrative. Many in the media would like to see us mud wrestle… but this is about love, and Miranda is love.”
While presenting the award, Perry gives a beautiful introduction to Kerr. She said, “I’m here to present the Excellence in Arts award to my sister from another mister, my health and wellness guru, and the heart of our family, Miranda Kerr.”
Along with Perry the 39-year-old model also has some moving words to say to her sister from another mister. She told the Australian news organization, Sunrise, “Katy and I are family. We are the modern family, you know? Who better to present the award to me? Someone who knows me so well, and she said yeah — so here we are.”
Miranda who is married from 2010 to 2013 Bloom shares a 12-year-old son Flynn. Apart from him, she is also a mother of Hart, 4, and Myles, 3, whom she shares with her husband Evan Spiegel.
