Kellie Pickler addressed the darkest chapter of her life. The singer whose husband Kyle Jacobs committed suicide in February is finally speaking up on his sudden and unexpected death. Jacobs was found dead at the age of 49 in Nashville, Tennessee. The singer recently shared a statement with People, about the demise of her husband.
Kellie said she is planning an intimate memorial for her husband
The 37-year-old said in the statement, “One of the most beautiful lessons my husband taught me was in a moment of a crisis if you don’t know what to do, ‘do nothing, just be still. I have chosen to heed his advice.”
“Thank you to my family, friends, and supporters, for the countless letters, calls, and messages that you have sent my way,” the statement continues. “It has truly touched my soul and it’s helping me get through the darkest time in my life. As many of you have told me, you are all in my prayers.”
Moreover, she unveiled her plans to hold her late husband a proper memorial. She concluded her statement by saying, “I am planning an intimate memorial for my husband, which will happen later this fall, that is what Kyle would have wanted.” She signed it, “Love & Blessings, Kellie.”
At the time of the devastating incident On Feb. 17, the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department shared the details of the incident. Jacobs was “deceased from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound in an upstairs bedroom/office.” Police shared that “his death is being investigated as an apparent suicide.”
The police revealed, “Mr Jacobs’ wife, Kellie Pickler, reported that she awoke a short time earlier, did not see her husband, and began looking for him. After she and her personal assistant were unable to open the door to the upstairs bedroom/office, the assistant telephoned 911.”
