Kim Kardashian finally opened up about Balenciaga’s controversial advertisement campaign. The Kardashians star frequently paired up with the Luxury label. She shared her thoughts on the controversial pictures shared by the brand via her Instagram. The brand faced a lot of criticism and backlash after sharing pictures of young children posing with teddy bears which were dressed in BDSM costumes. As per the reports of NBC News, one photo shows an excerpt from a 2008 U.S. Supreme Court case that upheld federal statutes on the pornography of minors. Kim Kardashian is shaken by those pictures of Balenciaga as a mother
On November 27, The Skim founder shared her thoughts on her official Instagram account via a story. The 42-year-old had previously collaborated with this brand.
“I have been quiet the past few days, not because I haven’t been shocked and outraged by the recent Balenciaga campaigns, but because I wanted an opportunity to speak to their team to understand for myself how this could have happened. As a mother of four, I have been shaken by those disturbing images. The safety of children must be held with the highest regard and anything against it should have no place in our society-period.”- the reality star wrote.
It really seems to disturb Kardashian.
Balenciaga apologies for the pictures
After storming with criticism and backlash the brand apologized for its actions. On November 22, they posted an apology statement on their Instagram.
“We apologize for displaying unsettling documents in our campaign. We take this matter very seriously and are taking legal action against the parties responsible for creating the set and including unapproved items for our Spring 23 campaign photoshoot. We strongly condemn abuse of children in any form. We stand for children safety and well-being.”- the statement follows.
