Kristen Stewart opened up about the reason for not talking about her relationship with Twilight co-star Robert Pattinson. The actress shared she is tired of responding to the questions about her ex. On February 14, in an interview with Rolling Stone Stewart looked back at her and Pattinson’s publicized romance and scandalous break-up. Let’s check out the complete details of this story.
Kristen Stewart said talking about her relationship with Pattinson f–king weird
The 33-year-old told the outlet, “Rob and I can’t just keep talking about that s–t, because it’s f–king weird, It’s like if someone kept asking you—I mean for literally decades— ‘But senior year in high school?’ You’re like, ‘F–king A, man! I don’t know!’”
The Spencer star revealed that although she understands the public’s fascination with her and Rob’s relationship. The actress who is now engaged to Dylan Meyer was in an on-again-off-again relationship with Pattinson from 2009 to 2013. Later on, the actress got involved in a cheating scandal with her Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders.
In 2017, the actress came out as gay in an episode of Saturday Night Live and also has been linked up with Alicia Cargile, St. Vincent, and her now-fianceé Dylan Meyer. As for Pattinson he has been dating and got engaged to FKA Twigs for three years and after they broke up he began a relationship with English model-singer Suki Waterhouse in 2018. Pattinson and Waterhouse got engaged this year and are also expecting their first child together.
Fans’ obsession with Kristen and Robert’s relationship isn’t surprising since they played the iconic role of Bella and Edward in the explosive Twilight franchise. Previously the actor told Jennifer Lopez in a 2019 Variety interview that she doesn’t think his and Stewart’s relationship is worth gushing for.
“They are very romantic, but at the same time, it’s not like The Notebook romantic,” Robert told Lopez. “Twilight is about this guy who finds the one girl he wants to be with, and also wants to eat her. Well not eat her, drink her blood, whatever.”
Meanwhile, Stewart changed her perspective towards the context of the movie.
The actress told Variety in January, “It’s such a gay movie, It’s all about oppression, about wanting what’s going to destroy you. That’s a very Gothic, gay inclination that I love.”
