Kristin Cavallari how the stress of her unsuccessful marriage impacted on her body. On the June 11 episode of her podcast Let’s Be Honest With Kristin Cavallari, she looked back at her time filming her E! series Very Cavallari with ex-husband Jay Cutler. Kristin and Jay who share kids Camden, 11; Jaxon, 10; and Saylor, 8 announced their breakup and end of Very Cavallari in 2020. Let’s delve into the complete details of this story.
Kristin Cavallari said she became thin because of the stress of being in a really unhappy marriage
The 37-year-old said in her podcast, “I was very thin. I’ll put it in perspective for you guys: I’m 5’3”. I currently weigh 114 pounds. Filming Very Cavallari, I got down to 102 and I was eating the same amount of food that I’m eating now. The difference was I was so unhappy and so stressed out.”
Moreover, she also revealed how it is difficult for her to look back at her throwback photos. “I look back at photos from that time period, and I am like, ‘Holy s–t!'” the reality star continued. “I was rail f–king thin. I was skin and bones. I looked like s–t. I think I look so much better now. And you guys, that was just stress. That was being in a really unhappy marriage.”
“I was so unhappy that I was just trying to max out,” she also added. “But I also wasn’t lifting heavy weights like I am now, too. But that was stress. But now, I’m just taking care of myself in so many more ways too.”
However, the Laguna Beach alum is now more conscious about her health with daily workouts. She noted, “I think with the gym, it’s consistency. It’s just showing up for yourself. And listen, if I’m really busy and I only work out two to three times a week, fine. I used to get mad at myself, and I would feel guilty and it was just like, ugh, a really horrible way of living. Where now, I’m like, ‘OK, I just needed a little bit more rest this week.’ I actually think rest is just as important, too.”
This isn’t the first time she opened up about her divorce. Previously In 2022 during her appearance at the School of Greatness podcast she noted divorce is the “scariest” thing she has to do in her life. However, it has its benefits as well since she believes it’s also the best thing she has ever done since it “has really jump-started my journey on self-love and who I am now.”
