Nearly a month after the tragic passing of Liam Payne, three people are charged for his death. On November 7, the authorities headed by prosecutor Andrés Esteban Madrea released a statement revealing some vital facts about the apprehension. Shockingly among the list of the accusers Payne’s close friend Rogelio Nores also charged with abandoning the singer which was followed by his death.
On October 16, Payne says goodbye to the world after falling from Argentina’s Buenos Aires hotel’s balcony. The authorities also ruled out suicide noting that the cause of death was the fall that led to 25 injuries consistent with a fall from that height. Later on, the toxicology report showed he was on drugs including a substance called “pink cocaine” which is made up of MDMA, ketamine, and methamphetamine.
Here’s the complete details!
Two hotel staff and one close friend of Liam were charged with the death
The authorities’ statement translated from Spanish noted, “Illicit conduct was discovered from which three people were charged with the crimes of abandonment of a person followed by death, supply and facilitation of narcotics.”
The first accused was said to have been with Payne “on a daily basis during his stay in the city of Buenos Aires,” adding that the individual was his unnamed ‘friend’ who was charged “with the crimes of abandonment of a person followed by death.”
As per the sources the friend is Rogelio Nores who first crossed paths in 2020 with Liam at a house party in London hosted by Edward Enninful, editor-in-chief of British Vogue. Nores is one of the Argentine multimillionaires and the CEO of StoneWay Capital.
Moreover, the second and third accused are hotel employees who were both “charged with the crime of supplying narcotics.” The prosecutors said the hotel employee gave Payne cocaine while the third person “is accused of two other clearly proven supplies during two different times on October 14,” two days before his death.
The statement also added, “Based on the evidence gathered and after analyzing the various bodies of proceedings and numerous documentary annexes and the background of the case, prosecutor Madrea formally charged three people, requesting their questioning and arrest in a 180-page ruling presented last Friday to Judge [Laura Graciela] Bruniard.”
Payne’s family is yet to comment on the news.
