Lisa Bonet and Jason Momoa are finally getting closer to their five-year marriage. As per the sources of E-news Bonet has officially filed for divorce citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their breakup. Prior to the legal step, the couple had been separated for two years, however, as per the court docs their date of separation was Oct. 7, 2020. More than a year after they publicly announced the decision to end their marriage. Let’s find out the details of their heartbreaking divorce.

The A Different World alum and the Aquaman star who shares kids Lola, 16, and Nakoa-Wolf, 15, announced their separation via a joint statement on Instagram in January 2022. The statement reads, “We have all felt the squeeze and changes of these transformational times. A revolution is unfolding ~and our family is of no exception… feeling and growing from the seismic shifts occurring.”
Moreover, it continues, “The love between us carries on, evolving in ways it wishes to be known and lived. We free each other – to be who we are learning to become…Our devotion unwavering to this sacred life and our children. Teaching our children what’s possible – Living the prayer. May love prevail.”
The statement ended with, “Our devotion unwavering to this sacred life and our Children. Teaching our Children What’s possible ~ Living the Prayer May Love Prevail ✨ J & L.”
Bonet, 56, and Momoa, 44 proved they didn’t have any bad blood as the actor showed support to his ex-step-daughter Zoë Kravitz at the March 2022 premiere of The Batman.
He even told Entertainment Tonight on the red carpet, “We’re just so proud. Lisa couldn’t be here so we’re representing, me and the babies. It’s still family, you know?”
Moreover, ET’s source also said of their separation, “ They had a lot of love for each other when they broke up, and obviously still do,”
Apart from that, The Fast X actor also shares a friendly relationship with Bonet’s ex Lenny Kravitz. As on March 19, the musician took to his Instagram to share a snap of himself and Momoa riding motorcycles which he captioned, “Ride or die. Brothers for life.”
The Fast X actor gave an instant reaction of affection by commenting, “Love u, Ohana fo life.”
Needless to say, the pair find a happy place in their respective lives.
