Marc Maron hit back at the male ‘Barbie’ critics who showed their problems in the portrayal of males in the ‘Barbie’ movie. On Thursday, Maron took his TikTok to praise the film while criticizing the ‘f**king insecure babies.’ The Greta Gerwig film got a lot of appreciation for its celebration of women. However, many online critics can’t digest the portrayal of male characters. They didn’t seem happy with the male representation in the movie. Thus, Maron slammed them for their insecurities. Maron said in TikTok, “The fact that certain men took offense, is so embarrassing for them. I mean, so embarrassing for them. Any dude who can’t take those hits in that movie, they’ve really gotta look in their pants and decide what they’re made of.”
“I mean, Jesus Christ, what a bunch of f**king insecure babies,” Marc continues.
Later on, he goes on to call the film a “f**king masterpiece.”
“It does a fairly amazing thing to create a sort of broad-based entertainment product that applies to the entire spectrum, I think, primarily of women, and then just seep it in progressive politics and basic feminism,” Maron adding that their achievements are “f**king monumental.”
No wonder, like Maron Barbie is taking over the world. The film earned a whopping $162 million domestically in its opening weekend making it the biggest opening of the year and also the biggest opening by a female director.
Moreover, the Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling starring comedy-drama also earned an astonishing profit in just 13 days, it earned $394.5 million domestically and $832.8 million worldwide.
Needless to say, Barbie is spreading the pink wave all over the world.
