Mark Ballas is taking retirement from Dancing With the Stars after 20 seasons. The three-time Mirrorball champion announces this news to the Dancing with the Stars tour stop crowd. On March 12 this concern was organized in Las Vegas. Moreover, the news made the audience stunned with shock. Needless to say, fans are really off guard as he won the 31st season of the show.
Mark Ballas said this show is her last time on stage
The 36-year-old announced during the show, “I’ve done 20 seasons now. I started this journey when I was 21, 22 and honestly being able to dance and perform for you fans—you guys are the best fans.”
Later on, he dropped the bomb as he announced he is gonna say goodbye to this long-running show. He said, “My mom is here tonight, my dad is here tonight, my wife is here tonight, my wife’s mom and dad are here tonight. I just want to finish this by saying that this will be the last time you see me dance in this capacity. I’m coming to a close tonight. This is going to be my last dance.”
This announcement undoubtedly made the audience numb with shock. Ballas’s time on the show indeed was historical as he was the champion of the 31st season of the show along with Charli D’Amelio in December. Moreover, his dance partner didn’t leave his side during this huge announcement. The dancer said, “Charli means the world to me. D’Amelio family, you guys mean the world to me. Thank you for everything.” Prior to winning the competition with D’Amelio, he won the competition in seasons six and eight with Kristi Yamaguchi and Shawn Johnson respectively.
He ended his speech by saying, “Thank you guys for a lifetime of memories,” Mark said. “I appreciate it. I’m not saying this is the end. This is just the last time I’ll be dancing with a partner.”
