Matt LeBlanc is sticking to his Joey Tribbiani self.
Nearly a year after losing his longtime friend and Friends co-star Matthew Perry, the actor has now decided to opt out of acting. The actor is also maintaining a low key profile by being out of the spotlight. A close source of the actor reflected how Perry’s death affected him so much that he’s going to change several aspects of his life. The source of the actor has disclosed these facts to Daily Mail. The source revealed Matt LeBlanc doesn’t want to be in the limelight anymore
The loss of Matthew who played the role of iconic Chandler Being, the best friend of Matt’s character Joey in the popular NBC sitcom has deeply shaken the actor.
The source shared with outlet, “Matt is still upset over the loss of Matthew. Such an important part of his life and a good friend is gone. It has made him rethink his life.”
With his financially stable condition, the actor is now focused on personal interests. On top of that, LeBlanc is not interested in seeking new acting opportunities.
The source noted,“He is financially stable and doesn’t really want to be in the limelight anymore.”
As for his comeback in the entertainment industry, the source indicated that he might take one last chance on the big screen.
It reported, “He would need the perfect opportunity to return in front of the camera for any role in TV and film as he has silently retired.”
The source also noted that like Jack Nicholson and Rick Moranis, Matt has decided to silently step away from acting. the source pointed out, “They just stopped and decided to live life and be happy with what they did in the past.”
Needless to say, this is incredibly sorrowful news for the fans who love to watch the actor on-screen.
Perry passed away last October from “acute effects” of ketamine which made him lose consciousness leading to drowning in a hot tub at his Los Angeles home. Currently the investigation on his death has been going on and five persons have accused among which physician Dr. Mark Chavez was charged guilty for conspiring to distribute the substance to the late actor.
