Every year all eyes were always on the celebrity looks of the Met Gala. After announcing the theme of “Garden of Time” fashion lover’s anticipation of what this year’s best looks is going to be is on top. Finally, on May 6, Monday stars like Zendaya, Emma Chamberlain, Anna Wintour, and Bad Bunny were spotted arriving at the Metropolitan Museum of Art for the opening of the “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion” exhibition.
Featuring some of the glamorous looks of the year, this year’s Met is nothing but marvelous. Supermodel Ashley Graham, being among the first guests to arrive on the red carpet, was seen in a gorgeous black Ludovic de Saint Sernin dress with flower detailing perfectly doing justice with the “Garden of Time” dress code, accessorized by Jared jewelry.
Ashley said on the red carpet, “It took over 500 hours. Handmade—all these little crystals. It’s all mesh. It’s insanity what he and his team did.”
Meanwhile, Euphoria star Zendaya made a magnificent entry with her edgiest look making everything awe in a gown inspired by John Galliano.
However, everybody’s eyes were also on another fashionista Rihanna who unfortunately was seen absent from the spectacular event. Although in an April 26 interview with E-news she playfully confirmed her presence.
“I’m coming in as an extra this year. I’m coming for dinner,” Riri said.
Later on, she noted, “Really, like chill. I know you think I’m lying—it’s chill.”
“I’m a mom,” she added. “I don’t got time for a lot of s–t.”
The Grammy winner—who shares kids RZA, 23 months, and Riot, 8 months, with partner A$AP Rocky—is reportedly not well. As a source of Entertainment Tonight noted that she got a flu which is the reason for her absence. Check out the most stunning looks from the event.
