Michael J. Fox does not pity himself. At the screening of his documentary, Still: A Michael J. Fox Movie, at the South by Southwest (SXSW) Film Festival earlier this week the actor shared the secrete of staying positive while dealing with Parkinson’s Disease. He was diagnosed with this disease in 1991. During the Q&A session, the actor unveiled lots of facts.
Michael J. Fox said he wanted to move on with his life
During the Q&A session, of the interview, the 61-year-old talked about his condition. He said, “I didn’t have a choice. This is it. I have to give everything I have, and it’s not lip service. I show up and do the best I can.”
He told director, Davis Guggenheim who was present with him at the interview, “Parkinson’s sucks, but it’s a great life, so thank you for it. I have no regrets.”
According to the logline, the story of the film, “follows the life of beloved actor and advocate Michael J. Fox, exploring his personal and professional triumphs and travails, and what happens when an incurable optimist confronts an incurable disease.”
