Microsoft Says Israeli Group Sold Tools To Hack Windows

There is news from Microsoft that Israeli group sold some tools to hack Windows,Microsoft and tech human rights groups said.

They shed light on the growing business of finding and selling tools to hack widely used software. They created and sold software exploit that can penetrate Windows,one of many products sold and this hacking tool vendor,named Candiru.

This secretive industry finds laws in common software platforms for their clients, a report said by the lab.

According to the WhatsApp complaint, users would receive what appeared to be a video call that injected malicious code into their devices — even if they didn’t pick up the call. The remotely installed spyware then gave the hackers access to the phones’ messages and other communications, the complaint said.

Sourgum generally sells cyberweapons that enable its customers, often government agencies around the world, to hack into their targets’ computers, phones, network infrastructure, and internet-connected devices,” Microsoft wrote in a blog post. “These agencies then choose who to target and run the actual operations themselves.

Candiru’s tools also exploited weaknesses in other common software products, like Google’s Chrome browser.
