The “Flowers” singer said in the show, “Honestly, my mom is my hero. My father—I’m grateful for being able to watch him ahead of me. He’s almost given me this map. There is a map of what to do and what not to do. And he’s guided me on both.”
Billy Ray who starred alongside Miley in her hit Disney series from 2006 to 2011 and Tish Cryrus share Miley, as well as Brandi Cyrus, 37, Trace Cyrus, 35, Braison Cyrus, 30, and Noah Cyrus, 24 from nearly 30 years of marriage before officially filing for divorce in April 2022. Although she is empathic about her father’s tough childhood she candidly spoke up on the bad things she inherited from him.
“I also inherited the narcissism from my father,” she admitted. “He also has a relationship and a foot on the ground to nature and to the real. And he always did, even when he was super famous.”
Earlier her mother Tish reflected on the trauma she faced during her divorce with Billy.
The 56-year-old said on the February 7 episode of Alex Cooper’s Call Her Daddy podcast, “During that period, I took a really good, hard look at life, my life, and like, ‘What was I gonna do? Because it had not been in a good place for a long time. And I think I did stay so long out of fear of being alone. Like I had met him when I was 23, 24.”
