Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana is in trouble now. Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi starrer much-anticipated film got shelved due to copywriting issues. Filming began at Mumbai’s Film City after a delay to refine the costumes, which involved thorough planning, adjustments, and crucial look tests with the revised outfits for the actors. After the exit of producer Madhu Mantena, there was speculation of a creative shift. As per the sources he requested to halt the filming until they reach a compensation agreement. One actor from the set also shared the actual situation in a statement to Zoom. Let’s check out the complete details of this story.

One unnamed actor from Ramayana shared disappointment with the speculation of negative stories about the film

The anonymous actor told Zoom, “The shooting was not halted for even a day. In fact we are shooting as I speak to you. Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi and all of us are participating in the shooting right now. Who spreads these negative rumours and why? What do they get out of it? Here we are trying to make something that would bring us global glory. Instead of encouraging us, there are negative stories about the Ramayana every day.”

Moreover, he also believes the producers’ (Yash and Namit Malhotra) ignorant behavior of not issuing any official statements on the project is making the situation worse.

“I’ve no clue why they are so quiet about the project. They should give some clarity on the project by now. Their silence is fuelling damaging rumours,” says the actor from the set added.

Based on the Indian epic Ramayana starring Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama and Sai Pallavi as Goddess Sita alongside Sunny Deol as Lord Hanuman and Yash as Ravana.

Due to the conflicts with other projects, the filming of this movie has been divided into two parts in order to accommodate the actors’ busy schedules.

These two installments are planned to have a six-month gap between their releases. The decision to make it into two parts comes from the director and the team’s intention of faithfully capturing the organic essence of the Ramayana.

Needless to say, this powerful collaboration of different genres of Indian actors is gonna be extremely captivating to witness on screen. However, there isn’t any announcement regarding the release of this film.
