Olivia Rodrigo’s new song “Vampire” came on board on June 30. The song is her first single off her upcoming album ‘Guts’. Meanwhile, her fans have speculated about the background of the song. They are pointing out that the scathing breakup song is about her ex-boyfriend Adam Faze. Rodrigo and Faze parted ways in February of last year.

Fans point out the lyrics which seemingly address Olivia and Adam’s breakup. As a line in the song said of her and Adam’s 6 year age difference,”Can’t figure out just how you do it and God knows I never will / Went for me and not her / ‘Cause girls your age know better.”
The former couple was first spotted together at the Space Jam 2 premiere on June 29, 2021. However their relationship ended in February of last year.
Other lyrics of the so songs says about their short time romance, “I see the parties and the diamonds sometimes when I close my eyes / Six months of torture you sold as some forbidden paradise.”
However, the “Driver’s Licence” singer hasn’t addressed anything about this speculation, a source told People June 30 that , “The song isn’t about Adam Faze.”
Meanwhile, the Grammy winner shared some BTS moments of the making of the video. She wrote, “Vampire song and video out now,” I made it with my very talented wonderful friend @dan_nigro last winter and created the video with the incredible @petrafcollins . writing this song helped me sort through lots of feelings of regret, anger, and heartache.”
The singer added,”it’s one of my favorite songs on the album and it felt very cathartic to finish. im so happy it’s in your hands now and I hope it helps u deal with any bloodsuckers in your life. all my thanks 4ever.”
