Orlando Bloom has the biggest support system in his life, which is none other than his fiancée singer Katy Perry. In a recent conversation with Entertainment Tonight, the actor described how Perry managed to get the best out of him. The actor who recently filmed a new series Orlando Bloom: To the Edge, which is based on him taking on extreme sports and activities like deep sea diving, free rock climbing, and skydiving said Perry cheers him a lot to take on these risks. Orlando Bloom said Katy Perry pushes him to be the best version
The 47-year-old Lord of the Rings star said of the 39-year-old singer, “It’s so encouraging… we’re both, I think, you know, cheerleaders for each other. She definitely pushes me to be the best version of myself and we both hold each other accountable as best we can.”
The Pirates of the Caribbean actor later on noted their unwavering support for each other in the secret of their nearly 10-year relationship. He shared, “That’s part of what, you know, works for us as a couple, trying to evolve, Her support was, you know, obviously immensely important and always is.”
Late last year, Bloom spotted showing support to his wife-to-be by attending the final show of Perry in a nearly two-year residency in Las Vegas. The English actor was also seen dancing in the audience along with their 3-year-old daughter, Daisy Dove, as Perry became emotional on stage while singing.
“To my partner, Orlando,” the singer said amid the concert to show gratitude to his partner. “For being an incredible support system [and] an amazing father. I love you.”
Meanwhile, while taking on some of the more risky challenges, the “Roar” singer may not have completely understood what he was doing as he shared,”I think, in some way, she maybe didn’t fully grasp quite what extreme I was going to.”
The actor was previously married to Victoria’s Secret model Miranda Kerr from 2010 to 2013 and they share a 12-year-old son Flynn noted his kids played a major role in helping him making decision regarding the series.
“One hundred percent,” the actor said of her kids Daisy and Flynn. “Daisy’s only three and a half, but she did see some clips of me and she was like, ‘Daddy’s flying,’… And she used to say, ‘Daddy’s an airplane,’ you know it was like, ‘Daddy fly!’”
