The life and journey of Paradox
From childhood, the Delhi-born was more devoted towards music and dancing.
In fact, during his junior school days, Paradox tried his luck in various dance and singing contests. Just to name a few, he once tried out for the popular dance reality TV show Dance India Dance Li’l Masters. Unfortunately, he went past the audition round.
Heartbroken from the rejection, little Tanishq was totally lost. However, at this time one of his Hindi school teachers found out about his hidden talent for writing which led to his future transition into one of the rising rappers of the country.
With his teacher’s encouragement to write poems, he started writing. Thanks to the teacher’s guidance he wrote his first rap at the age of 9 for a girl who was in the same tuition classes as him.
Along With music and dance he was also driven towards sports as well. He played national level table tennis in class 10 but later quit it due to study pressure.
At 14 years of age, he became interested in hip-hop music and even took part in a rap challenge organized by Rohan Cariappa, where he was hailed as one of the top contestants. After this success opportunities rushed to him in the form of collaboration offers with hip-hop artists from India and Nepal.
The 19-year-old was immensely influenced by a music video of Badshah called ‘Insolvable Paradox’, released in 2018, making him adopt the stage name ‘Paradox.’
After years of struggle, he finally got his breakthrough in 2022 as he appeared in popular rap competition show ‘MTV Hustle 2.0.’
In this show, the young terk joined the team of Indian rapper King and finished up as the first runner-up of the show. His songs, like “Rihaayi,” “Jaadugar,” “Chhore NCR Aale,” and “Glitch,” gained a lot of appreciation at the show. In the same year, he featured in a TV commercial for MTV India’s FIFA World Cup ’22 promotion. There’s been no turning back for him since then.
For now, the rapper is successfully running a YouTube channel with 580k subscribers where he shares the music videos for his songs like “Sirhaana” (2023), “Perfy” (2023), and, “Hasti Rahe Tu” (2023).
