Prince Harry explained how fast the confrontation ‘happened so fast’ to react properly
Prince Harry had been reaching out to reveal his tension with the royals.
In the quotes published by The Guardian from Prince Harry’s upcoming memoir, Spare, the Duke, who married to wife Meghan in 2018, reveals how things take a drastic turn between him and his brother Prince William at his London residence the year after their union.
As per the outlet, Harry wrote that brother Willam had wanted to seek out, “the whole rolling catastrophe” of their relationship and struggles with the press.
However, when William was already “piping hot” as per Harry when he arrived at the Nottingham Cottage.
The Duke wrote that word exchanges and confrontations between them happen “happened so fast.”
He continued, “So very fast. He grabbed me by the collar, ripping my necklace, and he knocked me to the floor. I landed on the dog’s bowl, which cracked under my back, the pieces cutting into me. I lay there for a moment, dazed, then got to my feet and told him to get out.”
Harry went on to write how Willam want him to strike back at him like their childhood fight, which he refused and lets his brother leave and later came back, “looking regretful, and apologized.”
Also, William told Harry that he didn’t “need to tell Meg about this.”
Though Harry didn’t tell his wife immediately about this later she came to know about the situation after discovering the “scrapes and bruises” on his back.
As per Harry, Meghan “wasn’t that surprised, and wasn’t all that angry,” but instead was “terribly sad” about the whole gantlet.
