Prince Harry revealed a shocking event with his brother Prince William.The royal Brother has had a rocky relationship over the past few years. In the second instalment of the Netflix docuseries ‘Harry & Meghan’ the Duke of Sussex opened up the turning point of their relationship. Prince William screamed at Harry over their stepping out from the royal duty in 2020.
Prince Harry said Prince William is on the institution’s side
Prince Harry recalled the moment of meeting with his family which took place shortly after the announcement at the Sandringham House.
“It was terrifying to have my brother scream and shout at me and my father [King Charles III] say things that simply weren’t true and my grandmother [Queen Elizabeth II] quietly sit there and take it all in”- the Duke said on the docuseries.”But you have to understand that from the family’s perspective, especially from hers, there are ways of doing things, her ultimate mission goal slash responsibility is the institution.”
The 38-year-old also talked about the impact which he felt had on the relationship between him and his elder brother.
“The saddest part of it was this wedge created between myself and my brother so that he’s now on the institution’s side.Part of that I get, I understand, right, that’s his inheritance. So, to some extent, it’s already ingrained in him that part of his responsibility is the survivability and continuation of this institution.”-The Sussex royal said.
Moreover, The Sussex royals also recalled the moment with Late Queen Elizabeth who invited the couple to stay shortly after the news broke. However, the invitation was taken down shortly after.
The 41-year-old Duchess said,”This urgent message comes through to H saying, ‘You are not allowed to go and see Her Majesty,She is busy, she has plans all week.”
Later on, Harry remembered meeting her after this happened “She said, ‘Yes I didn’t know that I’m busy, I’ve been told that I’m busy all week,”I was like, ‘Wow.'”
